Nicolaus Copernicus
For centuries, it was believed that the Earth was the centre of the universe. The sun, stars and planets all moved around the Earth. This was the Ptolemaic system.
However, in the 16th century, a Polish scientist called Nicolaus Copernicus had a different idea. He believed that the Earth and other planets moved around the sun. This was known as the Heliocentric system.
Copernicus was not afraid to question the old ideas. He worked for many years on his theory. He was careful to check his observations again and again. He did not want to publish his theory until he was sure it was correct.
Finally, in 1543, his book On the Revolutions of the Celestial Spheres was published. It was a very important book in the history of science. It changed people's understanding of the universe. It was the beginning of modern astronomy.

My journey in Australia
Last year, I went on a trip to Australia. It was an unforgettable experience.
The first place I visited was Sydney. I saw the famous Opera House there. It's a building that looks like sails. I also climbed the Harbour Bridge, which offers amazing views of the city.
Then I flew to the Red Centre. I visited Uluru, a huge rock that is sacred to the Aboriginal people. The guide, who was a local, told us many stories about it.
The most exciting part of my trip was a camel tour in the desert. The camel that I rode had a bad temper! It was difficult to control. The camel that my friend rode was much friendlier.
I also went to the Great Barrier Reef. I saw lots of fish, which were swimming around the colourful corals. It was like being in a beautiful underwater world.
I really enjoyed my time in Australia. I hope I can go back one day.
