When I was about 12, I had an enemy, a girl who liked to point out my shortcomings. I was very unhappy and went to my grandfather with my problem. He told me to write down every word she said about me on a piece of paper. Then he told me to take a pillow and put a feather on it in a very open field. Then, he asked me to pick up the pillow and wave it in the air. The wind blew the feathers all over the field.
"Now," said my grandfather, "you have to go and pick up all the feathers and put them back in the pillow."
I was surprised. "That's impossible! The wind has blown them all over the place. I can't find them all."
"Yes, that's true," he said gently. "And that is just like the words you heard. You let them out of your mouth, and you can never take them back. The words you say are like the feathers. Once they are out, you can never get them back."
I understood what my grandfather meant. It is much easier to prevent a bad word from being said than to take it back after it has been said.

How can we deal with this stress? Here are some suggestions.
First, make a good study plan. Don't leave everything to the last minute. A good plan can help you use your time effectively and reduce your stress.
Second, take breaks. Studying for a long time without a break can make you tired and stressed. It's better to study for 45 minutes and then take a 10-minute break. During the break, you can listen to music, take a walk, or just close your eyes and rest.
Third, get enough sleep and eat healthy food. Your brain needs rest and energy to work well. Lack of sleep and junk food will make it harder for you to concentrate.
Fourth, talk to someone. If you feel too stressed, talk to your parents, teachers, or friends. They can give you support and help you see things from a different perspective.
